Depart Lyttleton Norwich Quay, lower street with Real New Zealand Tours to Christchurch - Otautahi (20 minutes) for sightseeing. The city is known for its impressive English Gothic architecture & heritage, is located on the east coast of New Zealand's South Island. Enjoy the beauty of the tranquil Avon river which meanders through the city centre. On its banks are cycling paths, the green expanse of Hagley park and beautiful Christchurch Botanic gardens (often called the Garden city). View our impressive new stadium due for completion 2026. Next door the transitional cardboard Cathedral, next view quaint Spanish style New Regent street. This city is New Zealands second largest with a thriving tech sector, world-class university. A city with a revitalised centre buzzing with energy, surrounded by the tranquility of nature.

Next we travel by road north 55 minutes to Glenafric farm - a 770ha coastal sheep and beef farm. With Corriedale and South Suffolk stud sheep flocks as well as commercial Corriedales and Hereford cattle. Enjoy real New Zealand, this is an authentic true working farm supporting 2 families, 3 generations. Marvel at the skill of a sheep shearer and the enthusiasm of highly trained farm dogs.

Enjoy a light pinic lunch and some delicious homemade farm baking.

Next to the delightful Georges Road winery for tastings. The Waipara Valley is known for its warm dry climate and rich alluvial soils, ideal for superior wine production. Over 40 vineyards and wineries dominate the landscape of the valley with Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc the most prominent local plantings.
